Annual Christmas Picture with Santa!

We decided to take the picture with Santa before the crowds got big at the mall. So Sam and Sophi Kate and I headed to the mall on Wednesday. We had seen him a couple of times and waved at him. I had hopes that for the first time we would have a happy picture not one of them screaming! Daddy had little hope but Mommy was determined to get a good shot! We talked a lot about him and it worked. Not only did they sit on his lap but they also told him what they wanted. Sam asked for a race track and a white race car. Sophi Kate wants a new baby doll and lip stick! ( She gets to wear lip GLOSS when she goes to dancing class). Happy Holidays everyone. Love, Kristi

Thanksgiving program at St. Francis Xavier

Our little stars were in their first school program. It was awesome! Sam was an apple and Sophi Kate was a squirrel. Thank you Nana & Daddy for the awesome costumes! We had a wonderful lunch at their school. We are soooo blessed for Sam and Sophi Kate to be at such a wonderful school. It is amazing how much they are learning. Sophi Kate was suppose to get up and sing "God Bless America" but she forgot to stand-up so she did it sitting down.

Geneise and Sophi Kate at Dancing!

Sophi Kate had bring a friend to dancing class last week and all she ever talks about is her friend Genise at school. We invited her and she was very excited to come.

INS! EEEEEK!

We went to Oklahoma City to the INS office on Wednesday. We were nervous because we got a letter telling us to be there at 9:00 but weren't really sure why. As it turned out, it was for their Certification of Citizenship (GOOD NEWS). We were headed for Canada if it was bad news! Sam and Sophi Kate got American flags and their certificate. I think we are finally finished with everything!

Viewing Day at Dancing!

Sophi loves her dancing class. On viewing day she had lots of visitors to watch her perform.

Favorite pic from Pumpkin Patch!

I don't know what it is about Sophi Kate looking through fences but she always gives me the best smiles (Sam not so much). So I had to add this photo even though it's not the greatest of Sam. He was much more interested in climbing the fence and making funny faces.

Pumpkin Patch in Perkins

Anytime Sam and Sophi Kate get to spend time with their cousins, Aunt Kim and Nanna they are excited. The pumpkin patch didn't really have any good pumpkins but the kids had fun in the maze.

Sophi's Birthday at school!

Sam and Sophi Kate's school has been a true blessing. It took Sophi Kate a few weeks to get adjusted but it always does when we take her somewhere new. On her birthday I took juice and cupcakes to her class. The teachers made a huge deal of her birthday. They made birthday hats and had all of the children from all three classes come in a sing happy birthday in English and Spanish. They are picking up new Spanish words all of the time and surprising us all the time. Sophi Kate's favorite phrase is "Sam Carpenter vamanos" (Sam hurry up).

Our trip to the Pumpkin Patch

We had a great weekend but boy are we all tired. A trip to Boo HA HA and a wedding on Saturday then church, a party, and a trip to the Pumpkin Patch today. We were all very tired when we got home this afternoon but we had a great "family day" (that's what Sam and Sophi Kate call the days that they don't have to go to school).

Just the Beginning!

For over 2 years I have wanted to start a blog. Mainly so that I can keep our family and friends up to date on the latest news and pictures of Sam and Sophi Kate! I have read several blogs over the past 2-3 years and have thought it is a great way to update everyone at one time. I wish I would have been able to figure out how to have a blog when we were adopting Sam and Sophi Kate because it would have been much easier to tell the story of what was going on one time instead of 50 time or more. Sam and Sophi Kate are the most precious things in our lives and they say and do the funniest things. They make us smile and laugh everyday. Because it is Halloween (and this was the easiest picture for me to find), I started our picture of our 1st Halloween. Sophi Kate was a Beautiful Strawberry (thanks to her cousin Chloe') and Sam was a lion (thanks to our friend Jacque). We are off to Boo Ha Ha tomorrow (if Sam is feeling better). So tune in for more pictures. Love, Kristi
